[NEWS] 2012.01.29 Super Junior Shares The Origin Of Their Trademark Greeting And Rate Dancing Ability

On Mnet’s ‘MIC’ Super Junior revealed the story behind their trademark ‘Super Juni-OR’ greeting and rated the members in terms of dancing ability.

In the episode, yet to air, leader Leeteuk reveals that the special way they introduce themselves, ‘We are Super Juni-OR’ with the exaggerated last syllable of ‘junior’ was actually started by Boom and only made popular by them. Leeteuk joked that ‘Boom has transferred the copyright to our greeting. A contract was formed through an amicable settlement between the two parties. One of the conditions of the contract was that I would sacrifice myself for the rest of the members by becoming a student of Boom Academy.’

Kyuhyun went ahead to rank the top five members when it comes to dancing, earning laughter from the audience. He said, ‘Since my dancing skills are ranked fifth, I want to try and create a performance-based unit… The ranking for dancing skills goes in the order of Eunhyuk, Donghae, Shindong, Sungmin, and fifth place was originally Leeteuk. But seeing as how he is doing these days, I think I can definitely be considered as fifth.

They also let slip that there will be something big in store this year, Leeteuk saying, ‘In 2012, a surprising event will happen to Super Junior.” He also added, “I will promote as hard as I can to make sure I will have no regrets, and then enlist in the military.’

What is the big event going to be? Any guesses?
